Worth Avenue Yachts has Natural 9, a 2008 Westport 112, listed for $6.15 million. The 112-foot motoryacht underwent a refit in 2021 and has gotten a number of upgrades over the years. 

“Natural 9 exudes a modern ambiance with its light and airy color palette,” Worth Avenue Yachts says. “It presents an exceptionally crisp, clean, and elegantly appointed vessel.”

Stepping into the salon guests will notice the cherry wood interior joinery and waist-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with natural light. The formal dining area forward features a veneered table base with lacquer and a three-quarter-inch oval tempered-glass top that accommodates eight guests. 

Past the forward bulkhead is the main deck country galley which features a U-shaped granite countertop with a peninsula bar that backs up to a U-shaped dinette and inlay cherry cabinets.

When it’s time to catch some sun guests can head to the foredeck, where they will have their choice of the bow sun lounge forward or twin chaise-style lounge pads aft. 

The after section of the flybridge is for the 15-foot AB tender stowage, which includes the davit. Forward, open space can support loose furniture while an L-shaped settee, fixed table and hot tub sit amidships. Under the hardtop, which has a new three-sided EZ2CY enclosure, a four-stool bar is to port.

Twin 2,000 hp MTU 16V2000 diesels give Natural 9 a 24-knot top hop and a 21-knot cruise speed. Slowing to a 12-knot cruise gives the 112 a 2,600-plus-nautical-mile range.

Superstar is a 2001 Westport 112 currently listed with Westport Yachts with a $4.295 million asking price. The 112-foot motoryacht has a four-stateroom layout and a two-cabin crew quarters with serious charter potential for any owners looking to offset costs.

Westport’s 112 was a monumentally successful model, with the builder launching 65 hulls from 1994 through 2021. Tireless is a one-owner 2017 Westport 112 RPH currently listed with Westport Yachts for $11.5 million.

“The Westport 112 has long been the builder’s most popular model, with 65 hulls launched from its Washington state shipyards since 1994,” Yachting previously reported. “That number is not only a superyacht record, but it shows how forward-thinking the initial design was. “The volume’s fantastic for its size,” says Sylvia Bolton, lead designer. “It’s no wonder we’re at Hull 65.”

“This level of long-term commercial success requires both new and repeat buyers,” Yachting wrote. “It’s not surprising that owners of smaller yachts, Westport and otherwise, would look to the 112 as their desires and resources grew. While that is the norm, one buyer taking delivery of a new 2012 model traded in his 1998 Westport 112.”

Westport built the 112 to be a bluewater-capable vessel, with a hull of fiberglass mat and roving with Airex PVC core on the bottom and Corecell on the sides. It also has an outer layer of fiberglass laminated with Vinylester resin. The house structure, engine stringers and hull stiffeners are laid up with fiberglass and foam-type construction while the interior deck and bulkheads are a fiberglass sandwich-type construction.

Stepping into Tireless’ main deck, guests will find a conventional layout with three distinct social zones. The salon’s lounge aft has two  L-shaped sofas and three  lounge chairs positioned around an ottoman to port. Directly to starboard, there are two chairs and a table creating a second conversation space. A wall-mounted, flat-screen TV to starboard means guests can catch the big game. The formal dining space is forward, and past the forward bulkhead is a country galley.

The galley is equipped with an array of meal-prep appliances, including:

The after section of the flybridge has lounge pads flanking the centerline forward with tender stowage aft.

Tireless is powered by twin 2,185 hp MTU/DDC 16V2000 M86 diesels that give the 112-footer a reported 24-knot top hop and a 22-knot cruise speed.

Several charter companies have recently welcomed new yachts into their charter fleets, with inquiries now being accepted for summer yacht charter bookings in the Bahamas and Mediterranean.

First up is Memento Vivere, a 130-foot Westport that RJC Yachts just welcomed to its charter fleet in the Bahamas. Built in 2005, Memento Vivere (formerly known as No Bad Ideas) was most recently refitted this year. The yacht accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms, and it’s decked out for watersports fun with a 40-foot Intrepid tender, a 14-foot AB Inflatables jet tender, a pair of Sea-Doos, a trio of Seabobs, an eFoil, an inflatable slide, paddleboards, tow toys, inflatable loungers, and snorkeling and fishing gear (including deep-sea fishing rods).

Also now accepting bookings in the Bahamas is Amore, a 2022 Numarine that is part of the Fraser fleet. This six-stateroom yacht accommodates 12 guests and has a main-deck master stateroom, as well as a second master up on the bridge deck. A multipurpose room on board can be used as an extra cabin for a nanny or other supernumerary. Guest amenities include a lower-deck cinema room with reclining chairs, a beach club with a day head and wet bar, a 29-foot Scout tender equipped for fishing, a 16-foot Highfield RIB, and various water toys.

Over in the Mediterranean, Hill Robinson has welcomed the 156-foot Baglietto Andiamo to the charter fleet in the South of France. This yacht is a 2017 build that accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms, including a full-beam master on the main deck. Notable design features include sky lounge balconies that extend out over the water to port and starboard, along with a sundeck infinity pool with a waterfall effect.

Edmiston, meanwhile, has welcomed the 180-foot Feadship Olympus to the charter fleet in the Mediterranean. It’s a 1996 custom build that was most recently refitted in 2023, with accommodations for 12 guests in their choice of eight staterooms. The master is forward-facing on the main deck with a study, hair salon, walk-in closet, his-and-hers bathroom with a whirlpool tub, and private 180-degree observation lounge. Up on the bridge deck, the VIP stateroom also has broad views of the outdoors.

And that’s not all: Fraser also recently welcomed the 270-foot Golden Yachts Emir to the charter fleet in the Mediterranean. Originally launched as O’Mega in 2004 and rejuvenated in 2022, Emir can accommodate as many as 28 guests in 14 staterooms.

Few, if any, yacht designs have as long and interesting a timeline as the Westport 112 motor yacht. This model’s longevity is due entirely to its popularity with buyers, as evidenced by the nearly 70 hulls built, which was previously reported by Yachting. Eclipse is powered by twin MTU 16v2000 DDEC diesel engines with a combined horsepower of 3,600, easily pushing this yacht to a cruising speed of 22 knots with a top-end speed of 25 knots. Back it down to 12 knots, and the cruising range for Eclipse will be around 1,800 nautical miles with the yacht’s 5,500-gallon fuel capacity.

Flybridge

The flybridge on Eclipse features a beautiful teak deck. Forward wind protection is provided by the clear and hard-acrylic, 270-degree enclosure with fold-up wings. An L-shaped settee with hi-low, high-gloss teak table is to starboard for an alfresco dining experience. To port is an island wet bar with four swivel-top stools, Fire Magic propane bbq grill, under-counter ice maker and separate fridge. Above is an electronic actuated fold down 60-inch Samsung HDTV with brand-new DirecTV box, Apple TV, Marantz AV system and 10-inch iPad with Crestron control app. Audio is provided by a separate Fusion Apollo head unit, JL amplifier and JL speakers. A centerline helm station with three captain’s chairs includes 2023 upgraded electronics, consisting of Garmin 8617 multifunction displays and Icom M605 VHF w/AIS. There is also a networked Garmin 7610 to port as well as a Garmin repeater screen. Port and starboard wing stations will give the captain superior views while docking.

Down three steps bring you to the flybridge aft deck with a six-person built-in Jacuzzi hot tub that can be converted to a sun pad with its custom folding top and cushions. Just across is another L shaped seating area with a high-gloss teak table. Both of the above areas can be covered from the sun via a custom, removable three-tier sun shade. A custom JL sound system sets the musical mood. Currently, Eclipse has two, 2017 Yamaha WaveRunner EX PWC with only six hours of use, mounted on custom cradles, that will be included in sale. A Nautical Structures CEZ2000-EX crane provides the lifting power to launch the skis. This crane is large enough to handle a tender if that is more your style.

Salon

Eclipse is built with a full-beam (23’6″) salon to maximize its interior space. Full-length, tinted-glass windows help keep the salon area cool and comfortable while providing panoramic views of the water. The front of the salon area is fitted with a formal dining area. Eight guests can enjoy a meal on a custom dining table and chair set with a lighted tray ceiling. Raised buffets with cabinet stowage are located to port and starboard. Step back toward the aft area of the salon, there is a plush full-size couch, love seat, arm chair, coffee table and matching end tables. A separate area with two high-back chairs and a game table lies on the starboard side. Just to the port of the double-glass sliding door is a wet bar with granite countertops and a built-in 25-bottle wine chiller. The digital- entertainment center was extensively upgraded in 2023 with an all new 60-inch Samsung flat-screen HDTV, Samsung Blu Ray player, DirecTV box and Marantz AV system all controlled by a 10” iPad with Crestron app.

Decks

Eclipse has been fitted with a teak swim platform with removable stainless-steel rails. Ports for whips are built into the deck, which are used while docking the included Yamaha Wave Runners. Eclipse also has a 100-gallon, deck fueling station to keep your watertoys moving during your adventures. You can gain access to the side and foredecks through sliding doors located in the midship foyers. Bulwark gates open outward, which can accommodate boarding stairs. Slide forward to the bow, you will find a molded U-shaped settee with cushions. Audio is provided by a Fusion head unit, JL amplifier and JL speakers. Just aft of the settee is a large Bosun’s locker stowage area. On deck are the dual Maxwell 4500 hydraulic anchor-windlass systems, chain locker and foredeck cleats.

Two decidedly different builds from the Sanlorenzo shipyard in Italy have entered the charter market, one booking through IYC and the other listed with Westport Yachts charter management.

The newer of the two yachts is the 145-foot La La Land, a 2023 build that’s now part of the IYC charter fleet. It’s a Lissoni Limited Edition Sanlorenzo X-Space whose owner invested about $3.3 million in options to further enhance the cruising experience.

Accommodations aboard La La Land are for 12 guests in five staterooms—including an owner’s deck with a sky lounge, an alfresco lounge with a freestanding fire pit, a private pantry, an office, a walk-in closet and a head built with a heated sole and steam shower. The master stateroom also has direct access to one of two outdoor hydro massage pools that are on board.

Additional features aboard La La Land include two foldout platforms, a gymnasium, a hammam and a massage room.

The lowest weekly base rate to charter La La Land is about $317,500, with inquiries being accepted for the East and West Mediterranean through September 2024. For winter 2024-25, La La Land is expected to charter in the Caribbean.

Also now chartering is the 108-foot Sanlorenzo Daddy, which is new to the Westport Yachts fleet in the Bahamas this winter.

Daddy is a 2008 build. The charter agent says an extensive 2023 refit has left the yacht presenting in like-new condition. Daddy accommodates eight guests in four staterooms, including a belowdecks amidships master with a king-size berth, espresso machine and fridge. The VIP stateroom is forward with a queen-size berth.

Gathering areas for all eight guests include aft-deck dining, foredeck lounging, and flybridge entertaining with dining, a bar and barbecues. The retractable sunroof has a removable enclosure for extra protection from the elements as needed.

Daddy is also kitted-out for fun in the sun in the Bahamas. The yacht charters with two tenders: a 30-foot Jupiter powered by twin 300-horsepower Yamaha engines, and a 14-foot Walker Bay Venture with a 70-horsepower Yamaha. Watertoys include a two-seat PWC, inflatable paddleboards, tow toys and snorkeling gear.

The lowest weekly base rate to charter Daddy is $65,000. The owner is reportedly eager to secure holiday bookings this winter at a weekly base rate of $70,000, with a one-week holiday minimum.

Are tenders important for yacht charter in the Bahamas? Yes, if you want to make the most of water sports. The area is known for being shallow, which means the mothership can’t get into some areas that a good set of tenders can access for fishing, snorkeling and other activities.

The Westport 40M is a trideck superyacht with serious capabilities for outdoor entertaining. Its flybridge has a covered outdoor dining area for 10, a hot tub and a wet bar. Belowdecks are four staterooms: two VIPs with king berths and two guest rooms with twin berths. The master is forward on the main deck. At press time, there were three Westport 40Ms available, ranging from $12.9 million to $17.9 million.

In early November, Westport Yachts in Washington State launched the ninth hull of its Westport 125 series.

The model has continued to prove popular since Hull No. 1 launched in 2016, marking the first new model in a decade for the builder that had long been known for the Westport 112 and Westport 130. More than 100 of those two models have been built.

When the 125 first appeared, Westport said it drew on popular features from the 112 and 130 models, giving owners a way to move up to a bigger yacht from the 112 without having to go all the way to the size of the 130. Like the 112, the 125 has a raised pilothouse (as opposed to the 130’s trideck design).

“The launch of the enhanced Westport 125 is a significant milestone for Westport Yachts, and it exemplifies their unwavering commitment to excellence in the luxury yachting industry,” the company announced in a press release. “The yacht will now undergo final outfitting and sea trials before being delivered to her excited owner.”

What are the accommodations aboard the Westport 125? The yacht has staterooms for 10 guests as well as quarters for five or six crew.

Seahawk is a 2014 build with a gross tonnage of 235. According to the brokerage house, cruise speed is 22 knots with a top hop of 25 knots. Draft is 5 feet, 6 inches for getting into skinny-water ports.
