The team at Northstar Yacht Sales has just listed the Viking 45 Open Shangri-La-De-Dah for sale. The owner’s asking price is $525,000—and that price includes the boat’s slip in Newport, Rhode Island, for the remainder of the 2024 cruising season.

Shangri-La-De-Dah is a 2005 build that is showing about 1,220 hours on its 900-horsepower MAN V-8 diesel engines. Service was recently completed by Bayside Diesel in Mystic, Connecticut, according to the brokerage house.

Recent upgrades to Shangri-La-De-Dah include Awlgrip paint from the waterline up (the topsides are light blue with a pure white house top) and a new suite of Simrad electronics, all completed in 2021. The electronics package includes five multifunction displays, redundant VHF radios, autopilot and high-chirp transducers.

As the team at Northstar Yacht Sales points out, this is a yacht that’s equipped to enter big-game fishing tournaments. The marlin tower with a full upper station is by Palm Beach Towers. Shangri-La-De-Dah also has six gunwale rod holders, six vertical rocket launchers across the back of the hardtop and four tower side movable rocket launchers. The triple 33-foot spreader outriggers are by Rupp.

The cockpit spans 119 square feet, which should give anglers plenty of room to move around when the bite is on. There are two bait freezer boxes, an insulated in-deck fish box with pumpout, and a Pompanette International Series rocket launcher table. A molded-in tackle center has a bait-prep station and drawers, and there’s a Dometic Eskimo ice maker for keeping the catch cold.

Raw and freshwater washdown systems should help with cleanup after the day’s fishing is done and the boat is back at the dock.

More rod stowage is inside, beneath the U-shaped lounge settee. Overall, Shangri-La-De-Dah is laid out for a cruising couple or to accommodate a fishing crew overnight.

There is one proper stateroom with a queen berth, along with a few other spots where people can stretch out to sleep. The layout also includes a galley and a dinette that can seat five people. The head has a stall shower.

Interior headroom tops out at 6 feet, 6 inches if there are bigger guys in the fishing crew.

Need to cruise under bridges to get out to open water? Shangri-La-De-Dah has a bridge clearance of 33 feet, 2 inches, according to the brokerage house. Beam on this yacht is 16 feet, 4 inches, and maximum draft is 4 feet, 6 inches.

From the Archive

“The single-lever controls hit the pins, and my eyes widened as I watched our Viking yacht’s speed climb in quantum-leap fashion: 20 knots, 30 knots and an average top hop of 42.2 knots. She impressed me with that last speed while her motors ran at 2,300 rpm, which is the precise top-end rating for these diesels, indicating a near-perfect combination of power, running gear and design.”

Forced to discontinue production of its popular 92-footer, Viking Yacht Company took a step back and brought its decades of boatbuilding know-how to the forefront with a redesigned yacht: the Viking 90.

“We could have continued production of the 92 except for an international mandate requiring the installation of a heavy, bulky and potentially dangerous exhaust-treatment technology called Selective Catalytic Reduction,” says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “The SCR systems in the 92 would have increased purchase and operating costs of the boat; added significant weight; reduced performance; hindered accessibility for service; compromised safety; and required additional ventilation and onboard tankage. With the new 90, we invested $20 million to develop a new flagship sportfishing yacht that does not require SCR. It was a costly decision, but one that had to be made because it’s the best product for our owners.”

The Viking 90 is a leveled-up sport-fishing boat in several ways. Viking took what it learned from the 92, as well as other recent new models, including the 82, and applied that knowledge to the 90. Improved elements include the latest lifting-strake design, a refined driveline and prop pockets, along with the advanced propulsion systems. Performance was optimized through the use of computational fluid dynamics software, allowing the design team to analyze pressure distribution, study trim angle and trim tab effectiveness, and modify strakes and chines to increase running efficiency.

At the business end of the 90, the cockpit measures 224 square feet, with a 203-gallon transom fishbox/livewell and a pair of full-length, 103-gallon insulated in-deck fishboxes with optional refrigeration. Access to the Seakeeper 35 gyrostabilizer is via a centerline hatch. There are three aft-facing seating areas on the upper and lower mezzanine levels, with optional air conditioning in the backrests, plus freezer and refrigeration stowage as well as engine room access on centerline.

The vessel’s interior has a six-stateroom, seven-head layout with a high level of style and luxury. The U-shaped lounge to port is perfect for anglers to rest out of the sun while enjoying the starboard-side home theater center with pop-up 65-inch HDTV, wet bar with sink and ice maker.

A wraparound galley with refrigeration and freezers is forward and starboard. It has engineered stone countertops and five bar stools. Across from the dinette is a raised dinette with U-shaped seating and a walnut table. The elevated platform allows for excellent views outside while also providing a rod locker with pull-out drawer below.

The 90 has a full-beam master stateroom with king-size berth, a his-and-hers head with shower, a credenza below a 65-inch HDTV, a vanity/desk area with swing-out stool on the starboard side, a portside lounge seat, and port and starboard credenzas with drawers. There are five additional guest staterooms, each with an en suite head and shower, crew quarters with immediate access to the engine room, a pantry with an additional crew athwartship berth and a day head.

The Viking Yachts 90 is available in three models: an open bridge, enclosed bridge and sky bridge. Caterpillar C32A 1,925 hp engines are standard, but the most popular setup are the twin 2,635 hp MTU 16V2000 M96L diesels.

As sport-fishing boats seem to grow larger with each passing year—and outboard-powered center consoles leading this charge—it’s refreshing to see a builder return to producing a high-quality inboard sportfisherman under 40 feet. That builder is Viking Yacht Company, based in New Gretna, New Jersey.

The company’s model lineup stretches to 90 feet length overall, but the 38 Billfish offers a special place in the hearts of owner-operator, sport-fishing enthusiasts with its combination of versatility, comfort and performance.

The command deck has a salon-like entertainment area that includes a fiberglass hi-low table. Courtesy Viking Yachts

The diesel-powered 38 Billfish offers simplicity and ease of maintenance, serving as a ready-to-go fishing machine, which is equally adept at inshore and offshore excursions as well as for extended cruising with family and friends. The boat’s 109-square-foot is equipped with a laminated in-deck mounting plate to support options for a fighting chair, rocket launcher or marine table. Other big-boat features include in-deck insulated fish boxes, a walk-through transom door and lift gate, bait freezer with upper tray, a transom fish box and live well, rod holders, tackle stowage and fresh- and raw-water wash downs. Two-person mezzanine-style seating flanks the centerline walkthrough, and there’s refrigerated drink storage, as well as an array of gear stowage throughout the boat.

The 38 Billfish’s command deck has a salon-like living area that includes a portside U-shaped dinette and a fiberglass hi-low table. A lounge to starboard also serves as additional rod stowage. For those who prefer a lower helm station, it’s an option here on the starboard side, with immediate access to the cockpit.

Viking 38 Billfish
The U-shaped dinette is to port. Both sides of the command deck lift on electrically activated hatches for easy access to the engines. Courtesy Viking Yachts

Belowdecks, Viking’s made full use of the boat’s 14-foot beam to maximize comfort and utility. There’s a single stateroom forward that can have either an island queen or a crossover-berth setup. Hand-finished teak joinery, an Amtico sole and climate-control create a cozy retreat after a long day on the salt. A full galley and an enclosed head round out the available real estate.

Viking uses a modified vinylester resin for constructing the 38 Billfish’s entire hull skin. End-grain balsa and closed-cell foam are used as coring materials in selected areas to optimize strength and stiffness while minimizing weight. The single, integral fiberglass fuel tank—sealed to the hull with resin foam—is resin-infused with balsa coring on all sides for stiffness, and the hull-to-deck joint is mechanically fastened every three inches and fiberglassed inside. This ensures the boat is built to take what the ocean dishes out.

For ease of maintenance, engines and other critical machinery is located beneath electrically actuated hatches in the command deck area; the Billfish is designed and built with many of the same mechanical systems, components and technologies found on larger Vikings, such as the Delta-T engine-room ventilation system and a fire-suppression system that’s automatically or manually operated. The engine room, lazarette and forward bilges are painted with Snow White Awlgrip for increased visibility and ease of maintenance. A large centerline hatch provides quick access to the diesels, an optional Seakeeper gyrostabilizer and watermaker, and fuel tank fittings. Powered with twin 550 hp Cummins QSB6.7 diesels, the 38 Billfish’s reported top speed is 35-knots-plus with a 31-knot cruise speed.

It’s a milestone few boatbuilders ever achieve, but as Viking Yacht Company celebrated its much-heralded 60th anniversary on April 1, 2024, it announced the introduction of its latest sport-fisherman: the 82 Convertible.

“We’ve taken a boat that has been proclaimed by the sport-fishing community as the most successful 80-foot sportfish boat ever and improved upon it,” says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey, referring to the previous model in the company’s lineup. “We’ve been able to design and build a better boat by using our experiences on multiple Viking 80 demo boats and collecting a tremendous amount of feedback from owners, captains and mates. And like every new model, the 82 is going to be bad-ass—another industry leader.”

The interior has a horizontal-grain natural walnut throughout—available in satin- or high-gloss finishes—and interior doors with horizontal and vertical grains and ebony inlays. To port, there’s a convenient day head. Courtesy Viking Yacht Company

Hull No. 1 was completed in May, 2024, and first displayed during the Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks Dealer Meeting in early June. That boat is serving as the company’s summer demonstrator vessel, fishing in a slew of high-profile marlin tournaments along the East Coast.

The 82 will be offered in three different models: open bridge, enclosed bridge and sky bridge. Hull No. 1 is an open-bridge model with a Pamlico Blue gelcoat and a custom tuna tower from Viking subsidiary Palm Beach Towers. The boat’s performance was optimized through the extensive use of computational fluid dynamics software, which allowed the in-house design and engineering team to analyze the longitudinal center of gravity and pressure distribution, study trim angle and trim tab effectiveness, and modify strakes and chines to increase running efficiency.

Viking 82 Convertible

The Viking 82 is offered with the Advanced Viking Propulsion System, which utilizes struts and rudders with modified shapes to minimize hydrodynamic resistance and improve performance. “The strut is designed to improve the in-flow of water to the propeller, while the rudder minimizes resistance in the flow of water from the propeller,” says Viking Naval Architect Joe Snodgrass. “These improvements allow us to use a larger propeller to gain additional speed.” With twin 2,600 hp MTU 16V2000 M96Ls and the Advanced Viking Propulsion System, performance levels are in the same range as the latest Viking 80s—42 knots at full load with a cruise of 36 knots.

The nearly 230-square-foot cockpit is set up for big-fish battles, just add your preferred fighting chair. The mezzanine provides a perch to keep an eye on the spread and it has two refrigerated boxes as well as two freezer boxes for stowing baits, drinks and more. There are two in-sole, split-lid fish boxes as well as a transom livewell and liftgate tuna door.

The interior has a horizontal-grain natural walnut throughout—available in satin- or high-gloss finishes—and interior doors with horizontal and vertical grains and ebony inlays. To port, there’s a convenient day head; the open-concept salon design features three distinct gathering areas with a straight walkway that extends from the salon door to the forepeak, accentuating the sense of volume.

A wraparound sofa to starboard, with stowage below and accompanied by a hi-lo walnut table, provides an excellent view of the portside HDTV, which rises from the entertainment center cabinetry. Forward on the port side, the dinette accommodates five guests with plush seating and a walnut table. The dinette is on a raised platform, giving guests an excellent view outside while providing rod stowage in a pull-out drawer below.

The galley’s fore-and-aft style maximizes usable space with two under-counter refrigerators and one freezer beneath a second dining area with a raised bar and three stools. The outboard counter accommodates a double stainless-steel sink, electric cooktop, conventional oven and drawer stowage. A microwave oven, trash compactor, dishwasher and upper and lower cabinet stowage round out the conveniences.

The Viking 82’s larger size is also evident in the forepeak, where there are five generously appointed staterooms and additional space in the companionway for a dedicated rod-and-tackle locker as well as a laundry center. The rod-and-tackle locker can be customized to the owner’s liking, while walnut doors conceal both of these spaces.

Hanging closets as well as credenzas flank the berth, and there is a vanity/desk area with stool to starboard and a seating area to port. The en suite head has twin sinks with stowage below and a walk-in shower.

All staterooms have en suite heads with separate showers. The forepeak VIP and the guest stateroom aft  has walk-around queen berths. A guest and crew stateroom are to port, each with upper and lower berths. The crew stateroom is adjacent to the rod-and-tackle locker.

The flybridge takes several design cues from the Viking 90 and is anchored by a walkaround center console with a full-width helm platform. The console’s recessed, black-acrylic dash holds four 17-inch multifunction displays. The helm has dual radio boxes with split lids with instrumentation and controls, a teak helm pod, single-lever electronic controls and a stainless- steel steering wheel. There are three Release Marine helm chairs. Air conditioning is optional. Hull No. 1 has a custom navigation, communication, fishfinding and entertainment package from Viking subsidiary Atlantic Marine Electronics.

The 82 utilizes many proven systems, including digital switching from Octoplex as well as the Optimus Electronic Power Steering system. In addition, the 82 is engineered for many systems previously provided as custom installations that are now offered as optional components, such as omnidirectional sonar, multiple watermakers and crushed ice machines, tuna tube bait systems as well as the extensive use of refrigerated stowage boxes.

As sport-fishers continue to push the limits of size and performance, Viking Yacht Company’s 82 Convertible embodies the hard won knowledge and experience of 60 years of boatbuilding.

An array of windows allow for natural light to flow through the salon and galley, but when the sun becomes a little overpowering, guests can easily close the electric blinds. The salon is outfitted with a day head, adding convenience during the fishing day.

The open galley is to port and forward the salon. Three cushioned bar stools sit across the counter with a dinette to starboard. With broad countertop space, meal prep is a seamless operation. With the addition of a four-burner surface-mount range and conventional oven, just about any meal can be created during an angling adventure. Under-counter Sub-Zero refrigeration and freezer drawers allow for plenty of stowage for cold goods, as well as dry goods in a pantry forward.

Most boaters start their journey with owner-operator-size boats, but as their enthusiasm for the pastime grows as well as their voyaging aspirations, so does the length of the boat. There comes a point where some boaters will choose to leave the helm chair and enter the crewed-yacht arena. If you’re a boater considering that move, here are 10 ready-to-roam yachts looking for new owners and new adventures.

Ocean Alexander 27R
The Ocean Alexander 27R Almost Done is on the market with just 470 hours on its twin 1,650 hp MAN diesels. Top speed is 24 knots. Asking price is $7.99 million. Courtesy MarineMax

Ocean Alexander 27R – Almost Done – Pompano Beach, Florida

MarineMax has Almost Done, an Ocean Alexander 27R, listed at $7.99 million. The low-hour 2022 build will make a lasting impression with its beach club, whirlpool spa and five-stateroom layout which has an on-deck master stateroom and three VIP staterooms in total.

The “R in this series from Ocean Alexander, stands for Revolution,” Yachting previously reported. “It’s an apt description because the series, which also includes the 88-foot 27R and 97-foot 30R, is different from anything else Ocean Alexander has built in its 40-plus years in business. Starting with the styling, which is decidedly modern and edgy, there’s a deliberate break from the builder’s more traditional look. It’s all the more notable that the appearances of both the traditional cruisers and the Revolution series come from yacht designer Evan K. Marshall.”

Sanlorenzo SL96A
This Sanlorenzo SL96A is a 2021 model with a four-stateroom layout and 29-knot speed. Asking price: $9.25 million. Courtesy Allied Marine

2021 Sanlorenzo SL96A – Gatsby – Miami, Florida

The Sanlorenzo SL96A Gatsby is currently listed with Allied Marine for $9.25 million.

“The ‘A’ in SL96A stands for asymmetric and Sanlorenzo achieves this unique design by, Conserving only the gangway on the starboard side and eliminating the one on the port side, which shifts to the roof of the superstructure,” says Sanlorenzo. “The asymmetrical configuration, seen on SL102A first, frees up about 10 square meters of space for internal use. With respect to a traditional layout, this arrangement offers more space, improving luminosity and flexibility.”

Furniture placement in the salon helps to define the yacht’s social spaces. A six-person L-shaped settee and ottoman are immediately to starboard with only a cabinet separating the settee from the sliding glass doors leading to the cockpit. A formal dining space for eight guests is adjacent to the salon’s settee, a feat only achieved because of the extra space afforded by the asymmetrical design. A flat-screen TV is mounted forward against the bulkhead separating the salon from the galley forward and to starboard, and the on-deck master suite forward and to port. A day head is just forward of the bulkhead and to port.”

Viking Yachts 93 Motor Yacht
The Viking Yachts 93 Motor Yacht Obsession has 27-knot speed, a five-stateroom layout that sleeps 10 and a two-cabin crew quarters. Asking price? $7.4 million. Courtesy Gilman Yachts

2018 Viking 93 Motor Yacht – Obsession – Stuart, Florida

Gilman Yachts has Obsession, a Viking Yachts 93 Motor Yacht, listed and an asking $7.4 million. The 2018 enclosed-flybridge motor yacht has charter potential with its five-stateroom layout, two crew cabins and a sub six-foot draft.

Yachting‘s initial review of the Viking 93 Motor Yacht reported how the New Jersey boatbuilder’s flagship model was based on its 75 Motor Yacht’s design, but also drew inspiration from a Viking owner’s Westport 112.

“One Viking owner also has a Westport, and Viking’s designers and top brass spent a good amount of time on board that yacht learning how to nail down the needs of owners in that size range. What Viking developed from that experience is a boat built for socializing, one that lets hands-on owners feel at home while enjoying mega-yacht features.”

Hatteras M90 Panacera
Twin 1,900 hp Caterpillar C-32A diesels with just 500 hours on them give Jetstream a reported 24.7-knot top-end speed. Courtesy Atlantic Yacht and Ship

2019 Hatteras M90 – Jetstream – Key Largo, Florida

The Hatteras Yachts M90 Panacea called Jetstream is listed with Atlantic Yacht & Ship for $10.3 million. The 2019 build has an options list that totals more than $2 million. The motoryacht has a four-stateroom, five-head layout that sleeps 10.

This yacht can go the distance or go quickly. Captain’s choice. Twin 1,900 hp Caterpillar C-32A diesels provide power on Jetstream, giving it a reported 24.7-knot top speed and a 22-knot cruise speed. The engines have just 500 hours on them. Jetstream also has a Bahamas-friendly 5-foot-7-inch draft.

This Hatteras M90 Panacea has the performance, but it also has luxury cruising comfort. The salon feels thoroughly modern, thanks in part to the white-oak sole and light-tone furnishings. Frameless house-spanning windows and indirect lighting adds a sense of elegance and enhances the salon’s open feeling.

Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge
The Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge Lanikai has a five-stateroom layout, low-hour (450) MTU diesels and 24-knot speed. Asking Price: $9.8 million. Courtesy Alexander Marine

2019 Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge – Lanikai – Seattle, Washington

Alexander Marine has Lanikai, an Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge, listed for sale with an asking price of $9.8 million. The 2019 motoryacht has a five-stateroom layout, a crew quarters and engines with very low hours. Let’s take a closer look.

When Yachting first reported on the 100 Skylounge we noted at the time that “Ocean Alexander already offers a 90-footer with a four-stateroom layout whose guest spaces would qualify as VIP suites on most yachts. With its OA 100 Skylounge, the builder has added an on-deck master, much like the kind aboard superyachts. That’s one reason why Ocean Alexander calls the 100 Skylounge the entry-level yacht in its six-model mega-yacht series, which stretches up to 155 feet length overall.”

Hatteras 80 Done Deal

2014 Hatteras 80 Motor Yacht – Done Deal – Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Atlantic Yacht and Ship Inc. currently has Done Deal, a 2014 Hatteras 80 Motor Yacht, listed for sale with an asking price of $4.1 million. The 80-footer has a four-stateroom, five-head layout with accommodations for eight, and two crew cabins that sleep four.

The four staterooms include a full-beam master stateroom amidships with a centerline king berth and an en suite head. The forepeak VIP stateroom has a centerline queen berth and an en suite head. The portside VIP stateroom also has a queen berth and en suite head. The final guest stateroom is to starboard and has two single berths with an en suite head.

Paragon 94
The Paragon 94 has a three-stateroom layout and 20-knot speed. Asking price: $2.975 million. Courtesy Worth Avenue Yachts

2009 Paragon 94 – Rhapsody – Chesapeake, Virginia

Rhapsody, a 2009 Paragon 94, underwent an extensive refit by Lyman Morse in 2018. The 94-foot motoryacht is currently listed for $2.975 million with Worth Avenue Yachts, which represents a $750,000-plus price reduction.

The refit included servicing all equipment and systems, updating soft goods, adding a dining area, transforming the flybridge into an enclosed skylounge and repainting the upper deck space.

Twin 1,550 hp Caterpillar C-32 diesel engines work with the yacht’s planing hull form (with 13.5-degree transom deadrise) to help propel this 100-ton motoryacht to a 20-knot top hop and a 14-knot cruise speed. The engines have just over 2,000 hours on them.

Hargrave 82 Open Deck
The cruise-worthy Hargrave 82 Open Deck Roxy Maria is a 2007 build with 23-knot-speed and a $1.995 million asking price. Courtesy Hargrave Custom Yachts

2007 Hargrave 82 – Roxy Maria – Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The 2007 Hargrave 82 Open Bridge motoryacht Roxy Maria could be a solid fit for an experienced owner-operator or for owners traveling with a small crew, according to Hargrave Custom Yachts, who built the motoryacht and is selling it for its current owners. The yacht is listed for $1.995 million.

When it comes to boat handling with or without crew, this Hargrave has upper and lower helm stations, bow and stern thrusters and two cockpit docking stations. There are also full walkaround decks and side-deck access from the lower helm station.

With regards to the interior layout, this yacht’s salon has three lounge chairs positioned around the room with a four-person sofa to port. The sole-to-ceiling, high -gloss cherry wood creates a comfortable, warm and inviting entertainment space. This interior design is from Yacht Interiors by Shelley.

2020 Ocean Alexander 84R – Panacea – Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The Ocean Alexander 84R Skylounge Panacea is currently listed with Gilman Yachts for $6.65 million. The 2020 motor yacht has accommodations to sleep eight guests in its four-stateroom, five-head layout.

Yachting has previously reported that “the 84R is built via resin infusion with structural foam, fiberglass and carbon fiber, for strength at sea. Carbon fiber is applied to high-stress areas and used in construction of the sky lounge. Aluminum beams in the bulkheads and ceiling further strengthen the yacht.”

85-foot Burger Checkers
The 85-foot Burger Checkers underwent an interior refit in 2023. The current asking price is $2.9 million. Courtesy Worth Avenue Yachts

2001 Burger 85 – Checkers – Destin, Florida

Worth Avenue Yachts currently has the 85-foot Burger, Checkers, listed for sale with an asking price of $2.9 million. The 2001 build underwent an interior refit in 2023, including an updated Furuno glass-bridge navigation suite. The yacht has a three-stateroom, four-head layout, and has a main-deck day head.

Checkers can sleep six in its three staterooms, which includes a full-beam owners’ stateroom with an en suite head amidships. The owners’ stateroom features a king berth on centerline, a flat-screen TV at the foot of the bed, his-and-hers vanities, and walk-in closets aft to port and starboard.

The starboard VIP stateroom also has a queen berth and en suite head. The captain’s cabin has upper and lower single berths and an en suite head.

Forward, the enclosed and air-conditioned bridge deck has a three-seat helm station forward. Abaft the helm, there are two L-shaped dinettes to port and starboard.

Viking 68 Convertible
The Viking Yachts 68C Snowbird has a three-stateroom layout and 39-knot speed. Asking price: $5.248 million. HMY Yacht Sales

Snowbird, a 2020 Viking 68 Convertible listed HMY Yacht Sales, is a tournament-ready sportfisherman with plush comforts. The 68-foot sport-fisherman comes with a customized-to-match 2019 17-foot Maverick flats boat. The asking price is $5.248 million.

“A lot of people, it seems, agree that this boat is a good bet. As with most Vikings, the 68C’s story starts with her ride,” Yachting previously reported.  “As I pushed her throttles forward in choppy 2- to 4-footers off the New Jersey coastline, the yacht got up and out of the hole with ease, thanks in large part to a hull with a fine entry that flattens to 12.1 degrees of deadrise at the transom (a design that also helps with stability on the hook or when drifting). The 68C has a Viper steering system, meaning her rudders are independent of each other, a setup that gives the captain a high level of control.”

The air-conditioned, mezzanine seating offers a comfortable spot to relax and watch the baits as well as store them with a built-in tackle cabinet with pullout drawers and a bait freezer.

Other cockpit features include the Release Marine Trillion Fighting Chair, fresh and saltwater washdown, a refrigerated chill box in the salon entrance step, flush rod holders, tackle and gaff stowage, an in-deck fishwell and an available circulating livewell.

On the flybridge, the three-seat teak helm pod has unobstructed sightlines, so, whether you’re running wide open or backing down on a billfish, Snowbird is ready for action. Additional bench seating flanks the flybridge forward with a third, forward-facing bench seat directly in front of the helm station.

While the exterior is built with a focus on fishing, Viking doesn’t overlook providing a luxurious interior. Snowbird’s salon is penned for relaxation from the ambiance of its satin-finish walnut, light grey tones and waist-to-ceiling windows, to the variety of seating options. There is an L-shaped settee to port with a U-shaped dinette forward. The galley’s island also has a three-seat bar to starboard.
